The MSCA 2015 – COFUND Conference under Luxembourg EU Presidency will provide a suitable forum for discussing the support to early stage and experienced researchers: how to foster excellence in researchers’ training, mobility and career development.

The call for contributions is for two plenary sessions and a block of five parallel sessions (see sections in red below):

Plenary session 1 invites three 10-minute presentations on examples of COFUNDed schemes and their impact as well as lessons learnt;
Target contributors: FP7 COFUND scheme coordinators

Plenary session 2 invites two 15-minute presentations on new elements of COFUND under Horizon 2020 (structural funds and doctoral training);
Target contributors: H2020 COFUND scheme applicants as well as H2020 MSCA COFUND National Contact Points

Five parallel sessions on COFUND experiences and challenges invite for three 15-minute presentations for each of the following five sessions (see details on  –> Parallel sessions page ):

  • Inter-sectoral mobility & employability
  • Equal opportunities, including gender and diversity
  • Careers pathways and testimonials
  • International mobility: recruitment and retention strategies
  • Managing international programmes: challenges for COFUND & structuring effect

We are looking for engaging and innovative proposals relevant for the MSCA- COFUND action or for research careers in Europe.

Target contributors for the parallel sessions:

  • Researchers or research organisations particularly committed to the subject of research careers and/or the MSCA
  • Research career experts
  • Research or doctoral stakeholder organisations (Science Europe, European University Association, LERU, Eurodoc, …)
  • Representatives from large research performing organisations
  • Representatives from national research funding organisations
  • Large national or international fellowship programmes, in particular co-funded schemes (EMBO, EMBL, CERN, …)
  • Researchers or hosts under the COFUND scheme
  • MSCA National Contact Points
  • Other

Selection criteria:

  • Relevance of the contribution for the conference session and for researchers’ careers or the Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action
  • Originality of the proposal
  • Variety of subjects, countries, gender and disciplines represented in the different proposals
